The Catalan television station claims that Barcelona have decided that Edmilson is unsuitable for the rigours of a defensive midfield role and that the injury prone Brazil international should be the first casualty of a summer clear-out at the Camp Nou.
Toure Ya Ya has impressed at Barcelona since joining the club last summer, but it is felt that the side is short of options when it comes to a defensive and combative midfield presence.
Poulsen has been identified as the man who can provide the right blend of defensive cover and technical ability to a side that can appear soft centred at times.
The problem for Barcelona, however, is that whilst Poulsen may feel that the lure of the Camp Nou is too strong to resist, the Sevilla President may have other ideas.
