There is a danger that Osasuna are underestimating their opponents Rangers in tonight’s Uefa cup tie. The Spanish press and even some of the Osasuna players seem more preoccupied with the fact that the match is being played in the same stadium as the final is due to be played, than they are the opposition.
Muñoz has dismissed Rangers as not being as good as Osasuna’s opponents in the last round “ Girondins and Glasgow are two different sides. Rangers are dangerous at home where they have 50,000 fans cheering them on. However as a team they are weaker than Girondins”
Osasuna have played Rangers before, in 1985, when they lost the first leg in Glasgow (1-0) but went on to win 2-0 in Pamplona.
Ziganda will not be helped by a large number of injuries and suspensions that will force him to make at least eight changes to the side that lost to Racing at the weekend (their third consecutive defeat in La Liga).
Ziganda will have to do without midfielder Patxi Puñal (suspended) and the injured Valmiro Lopes 'Valdo' and Ludovic Delporte. Also, with Soldado and Milosevic missing in attack, Ziganda will have to count on Raúl García and Webó to fulfil the offensive duties. AS thinks that will not be a problem, We’re not so sure.
Probable line up ; Ricardo; Izquierdo, Cuéllar, Miguel Flaño, Monreal; Nekounam; David López, Muñoz, Raúl García, Juanlu; y Webó.
