If Spanish radio reports are to be believed, then Real Madrid have beaten a host of european clubs to the signature of Gonzalo Higuain. The 19 year old River Plate striker is set to move to Madrid in January after reportedly signing a six year deal with the Bernabeu outfit.
Real Madrid are said to have paid around 13 million euros for the Argentine hitman. Higuain has been impressive for River throughout the season and had been attracting interest from some of Europe's leading clubs.
The player, born in France, to Argentine parents, has yet to make a decision on which nation he will represent at international level, with both les Bleus and Argentina eager to get him to commit.
